What we do

Lakeside is an off-water marina that rents and stores boats and personal watercrafts, and with both rentals and storage comes marine service. Customer service and satisfaction is our number one focus. We service not only our fleet and customer boats, but also the general public. We service outboards, inboards and I/O’s, so knowledge in all is key.
Lakeside is a seasonal business. Weather-dependent, we open in April and close in November, so winter’s will be yours. We have a small crew of up to 20 employees, of which approximately 12-15 of them are full-time seasonal. Our mechanic position is a full-time seasonal position. We have 5 to 7 part-time seasonal employees.
We have extremely low turnover; many of our employees have been with us for more than 10 years and we have been in business for over 30 years. We offer a family atmosphere and expect all our employees to do as they would if they owned the business. We have fun, we laugh, and we work hard.

Rental Assistant

This position requires the ability to tow a boat safely to multiple destinations in different road and boat launch conditions, as we deliver to over one hundred different lake locations in Wisconsin. Strong customer service skills with the ability to problem solve and follow a high-volume delivery schedule is required. Availability must be flexible between the hours 7am-8pm 7 days a week, and shifts are generally scheduled 5 days a week Monday-Sunday during the season. Our season is April to November, and this position generally works May through October. Special summer hours are available for students. The salary for this position starts between $13.50-14.50/hour and is based on experience.

Full-time, seasonal Marine Mechanic

Our mechanics do light to heavy marine mechanic repair – from oil changes to throttle cables, replacing lower units, carburetor rebuilds, solving fuel issues, replacing powerheads and inboard motors (all motor rebuilds are subbed out), and more. Our mechanics are responsible for maintaining our rental fleet and performing 50 or 100 hour scheduled maintenance on our rental boats. Winterizing and summerizing storage boats is included in our storage charge, so they are popular services at Lakeside as we have a large boat storage customer base.
Our mechanics are also responsible for sourcing parts and working with parts distributors to ensure inventory is limited yet available. The ability to speak in plain language to our customers with the utmost respect and manners is particularly important to us. We expect our mechanics to be able to speak directly with our customers.
The more experience in the items listed above the better. Give us a call to discuss your experience and to get to know you. We are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term career with us.
Pay is competitive and is based on experience. We also offer perks and bonuses throughout the season and the year for hard work, dedication and focus to our family-owned business.
We look forward to speaking with you.
