Frequently Asked Questions

Rental Questions

Can we pickup our rental and haul it ourselves?

Yes, however not with our pontoons. Due to their size, pontoons are only available for delivery.

Do you charge for delivery?

Please see our delivery charges page.

What do the prices you have listed on your website include?

Price includes any items that are listed in addition to your rental (e.g. life preservers, anchors, etc) plus a full tank of gas. Price does not reflect the amount of gas required to bring the tank back to full or sales tax.

What do I need for a deposit and how much is it?

We do not require a deposit for your rental reservation. However, we do hold your credit card information upon booking, which would function as a non-refundable deposit for damages, theft, etc, if needed.

Do I need to fill the tank before I return my rental?

No. We will fill the tank upon return and charge you only for the gas you have used. There is no “gas-filling fee” as you may find with other rental agencies. We do charge $0.50 per gallon more than the pump price for filling the boat with gas, however having Minocqua Lakeside fill the tank is typically at least $0.50 per gallon cheaper then filling up on the water.

Do you have half-day (1/2) rentals?

Rentals are only available for full-day or by the week. A full day rental consists of an 8 hour period and we have four time slots that you can choose from: 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm.

Is there a minimum amount of time that I need to rent a boat/pontoon/pwc?

We have a 1 day minimum rental policy on everything in our fleet.

It's the week before my trip and something has come up. Can I cancel my rental?

Yes, you can cancel your rental reservation up to 72 hours before your rental would begin.

What if I just don't show up?

If the customer does not give proper notice (minimum 72 hours) of cancellation for the rental and chooses not to show up, they will be responsible for the entire rental period. We do ask for a major credit card at the time of reservation for this exact purpose.

Do you give credit for an early return or a late start?

No. Rentals are provided for full days or by the week only and credit is not given for early returns or late starts.

How old are the boats/pontoons/pwc in your fleet?

All of our equipment is five years of age or newer.

How old must you be to rent and operate your boats/pontoons/pwcs?

The person renting the equipment must be at least eighteen years of age with a valid driver’s license. To operate our equipment, a person must hold a valid Wisconsin boater’s safety certificate if born on/after January 1, 1989.

Do you take checks or cash?

We accept cash or credit card payments for rentals. Checks are accepted for storage invoice payments only.

What are your policies on cancellations, weather and early returns?

Please see our Policies page for more information.
